SEED AWARD’s North American Semifinal——New Wave of Technology Innovation

San Francisco, July 18th, 2019 -- Seedland Group, a top Chinese real estate enterprise and major promoter of world-changing technology innovations, announced the winners of the SEED AWARD’s North American Semifinal, a batch of awe-inspiring young creators building a better life for global communities using advanced technologies, including artificial neural networks, brain-computer interfaces and 3D bio-printer.


The Winners of SEED AWARD North American Semifinal are Sana Health, a novel technology solution that can reduce severe and chronic pain; Ampaire, an electric aerospace company that is transforming air travel; Nodel, a company reinventing the way of Internet of Things by installing mini-sized software SDKs into users’ smartphoness and devices and transform them into nodes for IoT.


The winners were selected by Gregory Renard, Deep Learning Committee Member at NASA Frontier Development Lab; Ben Hamner, Kaggle Co-founder & CTO; Heather Brundage, Director, IoT Business at Synapse Product Development; Elliott Ng, Director of Product Management in Content Creation & Search at Google.

The North American Semifinal kicked off the three-month-long semifinal stage, with three semifinals taking place in the United States, China and UK. Semifinal Winners are expected to join their peers in the global Final in China, in which one Grand Prize winner and three Talent Prize winners will be selected.


Launched by Seedland Group, SEED AWARD is the first of its kind that highlights the integration of technology and everyday life, with the aim to reward, encourage and inspire those who have innovative ideas, technology knowledge, and the willingness to combine both to create better lives for the global communities, regardless of their age, gender, profession and nationality.


Elliott Ng said that the teams participated in the Semifinal are of high quality. “SEED AWARD puts great importance on social impact of these startups, not only on market potentials, which is not common in startup battles in Silicon Valley.”


Over 1,000 teams across the globe participated in SEED AWARD 2019, in which 30 advanced into the Semifinal stage. SEED AWARD was made possible with the participation of multiple top industry experts as referees, including Michael I. Jordan, a world-renowned machine learning scientists and a member of the National Academy of Science, and Dov Moran, Managing Partner at Grove Ventures and the inventor of USB memory stick, as well as the help from 100+ leading international universities and institutions.
